Once upon a time, in a small village in India, there lived a kind-hearted dog named Sheru. Sheru was loved by everyone in the community because he always had a wagging tail and a gentle attitude. He believed in spreading happiness and showing compassion to all.

One sunny day, Sheru was walking by the riverside when he saw a colourful butterfly fluttering gracefully from flower to flower. Being curious in Sheru approached the butterfly with a friendly wag of his tail.

“Mr. Butterfly! How did you get such vibrant wings?” Sheru asked with those curious eyes.

The butterfly smiled and replied, “Look!, Sheru! These wings were a gift from Mother Earth. They allow me to bring beauty and joy to the world. But my dear friend, you have a special gift too.”

Sheru’s tail wagged in excitement as he wondered about his own gift. Along his journey, he met many animals and witnessed their talents. He saw birds singing melodious songs and squirrels climbing trees. But Sheru couldn’t figure out what made him special.

Feeling a bit disheartened, Sheru sought the wisdom of Guruji, the wise old elephant of the village. With his wrinkled skin and gentle eyes, Guruji looked at Sheru with compassion.

“Dear Sheru, your gift is not about what others can do. Your gift lies in your kindness and the love you show to others,” Guruji explained in his wise and soothing voice. “You have the power to make people feel valued and bring smiles to their faces.”

Sheru’s tail wagged vigorously as he realised the truth in Guruji’s words. From that day , he dedicated himself to being a loyal and caring friend to everyone he met. He spread love and brought happiness to the villagers through his kind gestures and warm heart.

“Kindness is the true treasure that shines from within.”

Lessons Learned: This story teaches us that kindness is a gift we all possess. It’s not about comparing ourselves to others but about showing love and compassion to those around us.

Appreciate your feedback , if you have any.
